The Kaska Dena Drummers have been invited to perform at a number of events, including: the Aboriginal Pavilion in Vancouver, BC, the Gathering Around the Fire healing and reconciliation gathering in Daylu (Lower Post), BC, the signing of the Strategic Engagement Agreement in Victoria, BC, the Moosehide Gathering in Dawson City, YT, the Ross River Cultural Exchange in Ross River, YT, the Adäka Cultural Festival in Whitehorse, YT, and most recently, the Kaska Dena Council General Assembly in Daylu (Lower Post), BC, in July 2014.

Copies of the Kaska documentary entitled “Heaven’s Pass”, the story of the MacDonald Family, is now available on DVD and is for sale at the Kaska Dena Council office. A book on Kaska Dena history has recently been published
Allison Tubman, Kaska Dena researcher, has recently published a book on the history of the McDonald Family in the Kaska Dena Traditional Territory, entitled “The McDonalds: The Lives & Legends of a Kaska Dena Family”. The book launch was on April 30, 2014, and it is now available for purchase.
Designation of the Ne’ah (Horseranch Range) as a Protected Area was approved
The designation of the Ne’ah (Horseranch Range) as a Protected Area was approved by the Province in March 2013 and will be managed by Kaska Dena and BC through a Cooperative Management Plan. Within the Ne’ah is a Special Management Zone: Gu Cha Duga, meaning “For the Grandchildren”.
