Dane Nan Yḗ Dāh (Land Guardian)

Born and raised in Fort Ware, BC, Duane Seymour is a Tsekene and Dunne-za descendant. Duane has lived in Kwadacha all of his life. He was voted in as councillor for the Kwadacha Nation for a three-year term that ended in 2017. Duane is always active on the land, hunting, fishing, trapping, and has great ties to his ancestors, traditions, and culture while always learning new things from his Elders. Duane likes to take kids out on the land and teach them the culture and traditional ways of our ancestors. He has been working as a Dane Nan Yḗ Dāh (Land Guardian) since Summer of 2018.
